Open VenmoTeam SLAY is an active dance and community organization dedicated to celebrating, supporting and growing the culture of Chicago-Style Steppin’ in the Bay Area, Sacramento and Las Vegas.
One of our first assignments was simple: we needed a name.
As a group, we brainstormed names that represented who we were and the experience we wanted to create. At the heart of it all was one idea: AMAZING.
Whether joining us for a Steppin’ class, gathering to socialize or attending one of our parties, we wanted our guests to leave saying they had an AMAZING time.
From that vision came a name that said it perfectly: Steppin Ladies Amaze You. And just like that… Team SLAY was born.
What began in the Bay Area and Sacramento eventually crossed state lines. In August 2021, Team SLAY brought the party to Las Vegas with our first Vegas event — Havana Nights.
The event was a tremendous success and marked another milestone in Team SLAY’s journey.
Ten years later, we’re still growing, still dancing, still celebrating the culture — and still giving GREAT parties!
